چکیده

Abstrac t . This paper defines the notion and concepts of N a i v e Geography, the field of study that is concerned with formal models of the common-sense geographic world. Naive Geography is the body of knowledge that people have about the surrounding geographic world. Naive Geography is envisioned to comprise a set of theories that provide the basis for designing future Geographic Information Systems that follow human intuition and are, therefore, easily accessible to a large range of users.

Modeling Infectious Diseases Using Global Stochastic Cellular Automata

Susceptibles-infectives-removals (SIR) and its derivatives are the classic mathematical models for the study of infectious diseases in epidemiology. In order to model and simulate epidemics of an infectious disease, we use cellular automata (CA). The simplifying assumptions of SIR and naive CA limit their applicability to the real world characteristics. A global stochastic cellular automata par...

Neogeography and volunteered geographic information : a conversation with Michael Goodchild and Andrew

Goodchild: Neogeography implies a reinventing of geography, in which the traditional roles of expert producer of geographic information and amateur user have broken down, with the amateur becoming both a producer and user—or what some have termed a prosumer. Implicit is a defi nition of geography as a discipline devoted to the production of geographic information; most contemporary geographers ...

Diagnosis of Pulmonary Tuberculosis Using Artificial Intelligence (Naive Bayes Algorithm)

Background and Aim: Despite the implementation of effective preventive and therapeutic programs, no significant success has been achieved in the reduction of tuberculosis. One of the reasons is the delay in diagnosis. Therefore, the creation of a diagnostic aid system can help to diagnose early Tuberculosis. The purpose of this research was to evaluate the role of the Naive Bayes algorithm as a...
